The residence

Our studios are nestled within the 'Les Michailles' residence in Vallandry. Explore its story and distinctive charm in full detail.

🏔️ A Glimpse into Vallandry’s Beginnings

Back in 1984, Peisey-Vallandry decided to create a brand-new village-resort nestled in the heart of the Alps. Alongside the construction of the Vallandry chairlift, the very first real estate development was launched - marking the birth of what would become a beloved mountain destination.

Over the next two years, the Les Michailles residence slowly took shape, its structure rising against a backdrop of untouched alpine terrain. By December 1986, the residence officially opened its doors, standing proudly as the first building in Vallandry.

Soon after, it was joined by Praz de l’Ours, the neighboring residence you can now spot from our balconies. Together, these buildings have silently witnessed nearly four decades of transformation: from a quiet hillside to a vibrant ski resort.

📸 In the photo beside, you’ll see Les Michailles surrounded by just raw mountain landscape. A snapshot of when the adjacent building was one of the few early structures in Plan-Peisey, standing alone. At that time, neither the butcher’s shop and grocery store at the entrance nor the Tourist Office at the hairpin hadn’t yet been built.

The residence offers two access points, one at the top, one at the bottom, each opening onto a different slice of Vallandry.

🌄 Upper Entrance Perfect for those heading toward the heart of the resort: Club Med, the Ô des Cimes Spa, the scenic Route des Espagnols, or the Grizzly chairlift. This entrance connects you directly to the upper station level and the 5xx apartments, located on Level 0.

🏞️ Lower Entrance This is the main access for our studios, nestled on the lower levels of the residence. Step out here and you're instantly on the charming path that links the Tourist Office and Plan-Peisey to the Vallandry gondola, ideal for morning ski runs or evening strolls.
